Q: Which type of appointment should I book?
A: We are determined to meet the needs of all brides! There are 4 different appointment types we currently offer:
Showroom Appointment: shown as 1st Bridal Gown Consultation in our dropdown menu, this is our most common type of booking. During a showroom consultation, you will have an hour and a half with one of our fabulous Bridal Stylists, who will walk you through our showroom floor and help you try on any and all dresses that catch your eye. During a showroom consultation, you will also have access to our Sample Sale and Trunk Show gowns, but the primary focus will be on our Made-To-Order collections.
Sample Sale Appointment: during a sample sale consultation, you will have one hour with a stylist to view and try on our Sample dresses ONLY. These are gowns that were previously on our showroom floor, and as such, have been lightly loved. Should you choose to purchase a Sample dress, you will walk away with your gown in-hand! If your gown needs some light TLC to get them back into perfect shape or into the perfect fit for your body, we have a tailor you can work with to make that happen! All sample sale discounts range based off the age and the condition of the gown.
Trunk Show Appointment: we host Trunk Shows and special events throughout the year to allow our brides to see the newest and latest collections from our designers, bringing in gowns other than the samples we carry in-house. During a Trunk Show appointment, you will have one hour with a bridal stylist to help you explore the collection and (hopefully) place an order with your customizations and personal sizing. The focus will be on gowns by the designer of the Trunk Show, and there will be a discounted price on the gown, should you choose to purchase! VIP Consultation: you have the option for us to come to you, with a selection of our gowns! We’ll bring the gowns and accessories you have requested, a full length mirror and pedestal, bubbles, snacks, and the party! Q: How much do appointments cost?
A: All of our gown appointments have a $25 reservation fee. Reservation fees up to $50 will be credited towards your purchase should you choose to move forward with a gown (or jumpsuit, two piece set, what have you) here at En Blanc! Reservation fees will not be credited towards veil or accessory purchases. If you cannot make your scheduled consultation, we require notification more than 48 hours before your appointment start time in order to refund your reservation fee.

Q: When are you open?
A: We are open Monday 9am-4:30pm and Wednesday-Sunday 9am-6:30pm. En Blanc is by appointment only with no exceptions.
Q: Do you have a certain dress by one of your designers in the showroom?
A: Please feel free to browse through our showroom collection here on our website. Each dress we currently have in the showroom is on our website and updated daily as we get new dresses in from our designers. This allows you to take a peek at En Blanc’s beautifully curated collection before your consultation.
Q. I don’t see my dress, could you possibly get it in for me?
A: Should you find a particular dress by a designer that we carry and you do not currently see that dress on our collections page, please note that we can always request to borrow samples from our designers for your consultation. We charge a flat fee of $50 per dress to borrow from our US designers and that fee is 100% reimbursed to you should you move forward with that dress with En Blanc. If your gown loan needs international shipping, we can provide a quote for the exact shipment cost, which similarly is fully reimbursed to you should you purchase that gown here at En Blanc.
Q: When are your trunk shows?
A: You can find a full schedule of all our trunk shows and scheduled sample sales HERE.
Q: How do I book an appointment to come to the showroom?
A: We do all of our booking on-line using our easy-to-use scheduling calendar found on our website for either one of our bridal fitting rooms. All availability for our showroom is constantly updated so you will be able to see all availability on these scheduling calendars.
Q: How long will my dress take to arrive?
A: Most of the designers we carry have an average standard production time of 16-25 weeks. We do have ways in which we can rush the order if your special day is quickly approaching, though there may be rush fees associated if that is the case.
Q: My wedding is very soon, do you sell anything off the rack that I can get quickly?
A: We do have samples on the floor for sale at all times as we always have new inventory coming in to keep our samples fresh and current. Depending on the condition of the gown, there are often discounts given on sample gowns to take home with you that day. Please note that sample gowns will often need a bit of TLC as they have been lightly loved so we do recommend dry cleaning and visiting our tailor for any imperfections on a sample dress.
Q: Do you have in-house alterations?
A: We do not do alterations at En Blanc but our tailor is just up the street and we work closely with them with each of our brides to assure proper alterations and tailoring is scheduled around the time your dress arrives. En Blanc is not responsible for your alteration costs.
Q: How much are alterations?
A: Bridal alterations can range based off of the dress and any changes our brides’ bodies experience after the dress has been ordered. We estimate anywhere from $250-$900 for bridal alterations. Alterations are paid in addition to the cost of the gown. Should you choose to work with a tailor closer to you, we have plenty of highly recommended tailors in the LA area.
Q: Can I bring people with me to my consultation?
A: Of course you can! We know that being with your friends and family is an important part of this day, we love our brides’ families and friends! We do recommend, however, that you limit your party to no more than 3 guests as to assure you are all sat comfortably, you are allowed proper time for your consultation and you don’t have too many conflicting (or unwanted) opinions.
Q: Can I bring my pet to the appointment?
A: We kindly ask that you leave the pets at home for your consultation. We do not allow dogs or any animals of any kind. We have found that the white and ivory gowns do not make a safe space for roaming little pups. While we absolutely adore them, we do ask that they stay home during your time with us.
Q: What should I wear to my consultation?
A: Please wear undergarments close to those you’d plan on wearing on your wedding day. We recommend a skin-toned or ivory thong, and any shape wear that you might view necessary for your big day. We have cups and slips as well should you need to see various options for particular styles. Please do not bring the high heels. While we know how excited you are about your wedding shoes, the standard hem lengths for our samples are very long and so we have pedestals at the showroom to give you a proper visual of what your dress will look like with a heel. *PLEASE do not come to try on dresses after a spay tan as the products used in the process can rub off on our dresses and we want to keep our samples in the best of shape for our brides.
Q: Where are you located?
A: En Blanc is located in Santa Monica a block away from the Pacific Beach coast on the east side of Main Street between Ashland and Marine, 2917 1/2 Main Street Santa Monica, CA 90405. We are a slightly-hidden gem to give you more privacy as you peruse; you will find our door between The Drift Kitchen and Miakel Bishay Salon. We are right down the block from Reformation and Free People and across the street from Groundworks Coffee!
Q: Where do I park?
A: We do not currently have a parking lot; apologies, love! There is plenty of street parking along and around Main Street.
Q: How do I pick out my dress if I have no clue what I like?
A: That’s our job, love! We spend every day helping guide women to their dream dress. More often than not, brides can be quite surprised by what they fall in love with. Our advice is to stay open, stay positive, stay happy and excited and let’s play dress up. You’ve been dreaming of this moment and it’s worth your and our time to carefully guide you through this process and help you find the right one for you!
